Coronavirus information
Regional Medical Center’s team of Hospitalists are board-certified internal medicine physicians who specialize in 24-hour hospital medicine for adult patients who require hospitalization. RMC hospitalists do not maintain a private outside practice, so their time is devoted solely to caring for hospitalized adult patients.
During hospitalization, RMC’s hospitalists communicate frequently with the patient’s primary care physician. RMC hospitalists will discuss patient history, admission, and diagnosis and will make treatment arrangements and appropriate follow-up care plans.
If a patient does not have a primary care physician, RMC hospitalists will manage the patient’s care during hospitalization and will schedule a follow-up visit with a local physician after discharge from the hospital.
