Effective Monday, March 1, 2021, Non-COVID Patient Visiting Hours are 9:00 am - 12:00 noon; one visitor per patient per day. No visitors are allowed for any COVID patient or any patients in the ICU.

FOR 65 and OLDER RESIDENTS & Phase 1a RECIPIENTS who live or work in Orangeburg, Calhoun or Bamberg counties ONLY:

Regional Medical Center of Orangeburg & Calhoun Counties (RMC), in conjunction with Orangeburg County, Orangeburg County School District and Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College, will be administering the COVID-19 vaccine (1st dose only), while supplies last, to Orangeburg, Calhoun or Bamberg county residents 65 and older and Phase 1a recipients on Friday, March 5, from 9 am – 1 pm at the Orangeburg County Fairgrounds located at 350 Magnolia Street in Orangeburg.

No registration is required. Due to a limited supply of vaccine available, 1st dose vaccines will be administered on a first-come, first-serve basis.

RMC will NOT provide 2nd vaccine doses at this vaccine event.

What you need to know for 1st dose vaccine:

• Bring your identification, such as a driver’s license.

• Do not bring companions unless you need physical assistance.

• Allow time during vaccine process to complete necessary consent forms. To facilitate time required to complete the process, you may complete the two (2) consent forms* prior to your arrival and bring with you. Note: You will need to list your current medications in the space provided on the consent form.

• Review the Fact Sheet* of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine prior to your arrival.

• After receiving 1st dose injection of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine, you will need to complete a 15-minute observation period to monitor for any potential reaction.

• When you return home following your vaccine, you are encouraged to register with the CDC’s V-safe program* to receive text messages about your response to the vaccine.

• 2nd vaccine dose injection will be scheduled in approximately 3 weeks. Make sure that you will be available for your return appointment that will be listed on your vaccination record card provided to you following your 1st dose injection. You will need to keep the voucher you receive during your 1st dose injection as a pass for entering for your 2nd dose injection.

Regional Medical Center has implemented the following Visitor Guidelines:

1. NO Visitors are allowed. Exception: children or patients requiring assistance to maintain safety as determined by the clinical staff.
2. Patients are allowed a limited number of visitors at the end of life. If COVID positive patient is at the end of life, staff MUST accompany visitor to ensure visitor(s) are wearing appropriate PPE.
3. No visitors under 18 years of age in the hospital.
4. Maternity patients are allowed 1 support person during labor and delivery. It must be the same person.
5. Emergency Department is not allowing visitation unless that patient is a child or requires assistance.
6. Vendors should have an appointment with the appropriate department. No cold calls are allowed.
7. Sleep Lab will resume operations for sleep studies. Two patients will be scheduled each night. Masking is required and patients are encouraged to wear their own masks. A mask will be provided if patients do not have one. Patients are to enter through the Emergency Department for their 8:00 pm appointment.
8. HEALTHPLEX | Annex has returned to regular hours with reduced capacity: 5:00 am to 10:00 pm (seven days a week) Max Occupancy: 17 (at any given time) Masking is required and HEALTHPLEX members are encouraged to wear their own masks. A mask will be provided if members do not have one. Members must enter through the HEALTHPLEX entrance, lower level, RMC Annex Building.
9. All HEALTHPLEX fitness locations have reopened with limited capacity, masks are required to be worn upon entry and exiting:

HEALTHPLEX | Holly Hill: 5:00 am - 10:00 pm (seven days a week) Max Occupancy: 4 (at any given time)
