RMC Provides Occupational Medicine Services


Board-certified Occupational Medicine Specialist Dr. Teresa Williams leads the Occupational Medicine program at the Regional Medical Center.  
The Regional Medical Center (RMC) now offers Occupational Medicine services to focus on the prevention, evaluation, treatment and resolution of health conditions caused by the workplace environment.

“We provide care that workers need to receive a fast diagnosis and treatment so that they can return to their jobs as soon as possible,” said RMC Board-certified Occupational Medicine Specialist Teresa Williams, MD, “We’re devoted to the prevention and management of occupational injury, illness and disability.”

Services offered to workers include drug screenings, pre-placement physicals, workers compensation evaluations and treatment, Department of Transportation physicals, Hazmat physicals, college entrance physicals, respiratory clearance physicals, PPD testing, flu shots, vaccines and more.

A native of South Carolina and with nearly 20 years of experience evaluating and treating patients throughout the region in a fast-paced, urgent care setting, Dr. Williams is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Charleston, S.C. She attended residency programs in family medicine and preventative medicine at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, S.C., and at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, S.C.

The RMC Occupational Medicine office is located in the upper level of the RMC Annex Building of the main hospital, located at 3000 St. Matthews Road. Office hours are Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m.-12:00 noon, and 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. Appointments are required and can be made by contacting the office at 803-395-3891, or toll-free in SC at 800-476-3377, ext. 3891.
