RMC HEALTHPLEX Opens Memberships to the Public


The HEALTHPLEX wellness center at the Regional Medical Center (RMC) is now open to the public for fitness memberships.

“Previously, HEATLHPLEX provided physical, occupational and speech therapies as well as wellness programs for Healthy Living Center patients,” said RMC Director of Health and Wellness Tim Maynard, MSS, ACSM, ‘we have recently expanded those offerings to include gym and wellness services for the public.”

Located on the RMC main hospital campus, HEALTHPLEX is a 14,335-square-foot, state-of-the-art rehabilitation and wellness center staffed by expert clinicians who assist members in achieving their lifestyle goals. HEALTHPLEX at RMC offers a full range of gym services featuring a variety of cardio equipment, weight training and extended wellness hours. A staff exercise physiologist provides fitness assessments and personal training sessions by appointment Monday – Friday.

Single memberships are $36 per month, and family memberships start at $54 per month. There are no registration fees and no annual contract. Fitness hours (except holidays) are Monday – Thursday, 5:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Friday from 5:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., and Saturday from 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

The center will continue to offer outpatient rehabilitation services including occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy and also medically-supervised exercise programs. A physician’s referral is required for therapies.

In addition to HEALTHPLEX at RMC, there are four HEALTHPLEX satellite fitness centers that are also open to the public in Santee, Holly Hill, St. Matthews and Branchville. A membership at HEALTHPLEX – RMC is valid at any or all of the other HEALTHPLEX locations.
