Curry Receives RMC’s “Certified Nursing Assistant of the Year” Award


Rosalind Curry was honored recently as the Regional Medical Center’s “Certified Nursing Assistant of the Year”. This award was initiated by the Shared Governance Quality Council of RMC’s Nursing Department in appreciation of all certified nursing assistants at RMC.

Criteria for the award includes: must exhibit excellence in patient care, an enthusiastic and caring attitude, healthy work ethnic, and be a great team player, must show commitment to RMC and the community by demonstrating outstanding skills and compassion for patients, families and guests, and must have an active certified nursing assistant certificate or a certified nursing technician certificate and provide bedside patient care.

Curry, a native of St. Matthews, began her career at RMC 15 years ago on the Progressive Care Unit and has remained there.

A certified nursing assistant, Curry has also served as a ward secretary and a monitor tech at RMC.

She and her husband, Edwin, have one daughter, three sons and nine grandchildren. In her spare time Curry enjoys shopping, relaxing and spending time with her grandchildren. She is a member of Canaan Baptist Church in Lone Star.
