Visiting Hours

Hours for visitation at the Regional Medical Center are daily from
8 a.m. until 9 p.m.
However, patient needs may allow for alternate hours.

Visitation times for Specialty Units will vary based on care requirements.

General
8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
However, patient needs may allow for alternate hours.

Pediatrics
One parent/guardian is encouraged to stay with pediatric patients at all times. Visitation is limited to two (2) visitors at a time. To protect children's health and prevent and control infections, children under the age of 12 are not permitted to visit on pediatric halls.

Same Day Surgery
Visitation is limited to two (2) visitors at a time.

Her Place
(Labor & Delivery, Postpartum
and Antepartum)

Visitation is limited to three (3) visitors during labor: exceptions are based upon individual patient needs granted by the charge nurse. Visitors may be asked to leave the patient room by the nurse or the physician based on patient care needs. Siblings may visit anytime during visitation hours. No other children are permitted to visit.

Emergency Department
Visitors may accompany a patient to the treatment area based upon individual patient needs as assessed by the primary nurse, charge nurse, or nursing supervisor. Visitor(s) may be asked to leave the room by the nurse or the physician based on patient care needs. Patient advocates are encouraged to give patient updates hourly.
Critical Care Units
10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Visitation is limited to two (2) visitors at a time.

(Inpatient Rehabilitation)
Mon. - Fri.,
3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Sat. & Sun.,
8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Suggested number of visitors is two (2) with a maximum of four (4).

Rose Centre
(Psychiatric Care)
Tues. & Thurs.,
7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Sat. & Sun.,
4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Visitation is limited to two (2) [age 13 & above only]. Only visitors with code number are allowed; code number must be obtained from the patient/family.



Visitation Rights
The Regional Medical Center encourages full and equal visitation for all visitors in accordance with the patient’s preferences. Visitation privileges at the Regional Medical Center are not restricted, limited or otherwise denied on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or payment source.

Each patient has the right to:
  • Consent to receive the visitors whom he/she designates, including, but not limited to, a spouse, a domestic partner (including a same-sex domestic partner), another family member, or a friend;
  • Withdraw or deny such consent at any time;
  • Designate a “support person” (family member, friend, or other individual] to be present for emotional support during the course of your stay unless the individual’s presence infringes on others’ rights, safety or is medically or therapeutically contraindicated.
