 The Laboratory provides inpatient services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Lab staff provides chemistry, microbiology, coagulation, serology, hematology, immunohematology, urinalysis, histology, cytology, and autopsy services. Three outpatient satellite labs are open for the care of all patients of all ages. Regional Medical Center’s Laboratory also administers the Blood Assurance Program, an independent blood donor program which provides all of Regional Medical Center’s transfusion needs. The Blood Assurance Program is one of only a few independent blood donor programs in South Carolina.
Patient Requested Lab Tests
 Lab tests can help you monitor certain health conditions and help you communicate with your doctor. The Regional Medical Center offers Patient Requested Lab Tests at two convenient locations. All tests must be paid for up front with cash, check or credit card. Health Insurance will not be filed.
All tests results will be reviewed by the hospital physician in charge of patient requested lab tests. If results are significantly abnormal, the physician will call the patient directly to discuss the results. Patients will be encouraged to take the results to their next appointment and discuss the results with their physician.
