 The Laboratory provides inpatient services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Lab staff provides chemistry, microbiology, coagulation, serology, hematology, immunohematology, urinalysis, histology and cytology. Three outpatient satellite labs are open for the care of all patients of all ages. Regional Medical Center’s Laboratory also administers the Blood Assurance Program, an independent blood donor program which provides all of Regional Medical Center’s transfusion needs. The Blood Assurance Program is one of only a few independent blood donor programs in South Carolina.
Patient Requested Lab Tests
 Lab tests can help you monitor certain health conditions and help you communicate with your doctor. The Regional Medical Center offers Patient Requested Lab Tests at four convenient locations. All tests must be paid for up front with cash, check or credit card. Health Insurance will not be filed.
Lab tests results will be mailed directly to the patient within two business days from the day the test was completed. All test results are reviewed, and if test results are significantly abnormal, the patient will receive a call to discuss them.
