Established in 1997, RMC’s Home Health program offers a wide range of in-home nursing services to individuals and their families to include nursing care and home health aide services; pediatric nursing care; post partum/ infant home visits; wound certified nursing care; diabetic certified nursing care; physical, occupational and speech therapy; and medical social services. The Hom-Med monitoring system collects and transmits vital signs, oxygen saturation and patient weight so that a nurse can track a patient’s progress on a daily basis.
Recently recognized as one of the top-performing home care agencies in the nation, the success of RMC’s home health program is due largely to its caring, professional staff. The staff understands that patients feel better about themselves when they are at home. Home Health allows patients and their families to have a direct role in the care and recovery process. The clinical expertise of Home Health staff is complemented by compassion for their patients, which, in turn, can also be measured by quality outcomes, quality improvement and financial performances.
