Lisa M. Goodlett, a native of Aiken, SC, has assumed duties as senior vice president and chief operating officer at the Regional Medical Center. Goodlett, who has more than 15 years’ experience in healthcare finance and management, joined the Regional Medical Center family in July 2004 as chief financial officer.
“I am pleased to announce that Lisa Goodlett has been named chief operating officer of the Regional Medical Center,” said Tom Dandridge, Regional Medical Center president and chief executive officer. “Her primary responsibility in this new role is the day-to-day operations of Regional Medical Center; however, she will continue to oversee, along with me, the duties of the chief financial officer while a national search to fill that position is underway. Lisa’s keen understanding of the financial climate and challenges in healthcare is an excellent asset to her role as COO. Quite frankly, Lisa has had considerable experience in managing a wide variety of hospital departments, and consequently, the transition from CFO to COO will be quite smooth.”
Goodlett came to Orangeburg from Atlanta, Ga., where she served as vice president of finance for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, a two-hospital system with 430 acute care beds (a billion dollar operation). Previously, Goodlett served as chief financial officer of two other South Carolina hospitals, Kershaw County Medical Center and Bamberg County Hospital.
A graduate of Clemson University, Goodlett received a bachelor of science degree in accounting; she earned a master of business administration degree from the University of South Carolina.
She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Healthcare Managers Financial Association and is a certified public accountant. | |
