Garden Clubs bring holiday cheer to the Regional Medical Center

Local garden clubs recently brought holiday cheer to the Regional Medical Center by decorating Christmas trees in lobby areas and other public areas throughout the hospital.

For the past 28 years, local garden clubs have dedicated their time, creativity and resources in decorating Christmas trees for the hospital, a tradition that began after construction of the new hospital was completed in 1981. Each garden club contributes months of hard work in putting together their beautiful Christmas trees.

Many garden clubs participated in decorating trees at RMC this year. The following is a list of participating garden clubs and the respective locations of their trees: Magnolia Garden Club, Cafeteria; Dogwood Garden Club-Orangeburg, Main Visitors’ Entrance Lobby; Hoe ’N Hope Garden Club, Same Day Surgery Lobby; Bradford Village Garden Club, the Mabry Center for Cancer Care; Palmetto Gardeners, Admitting/Registration Lobby; Azalea Garden Club, Second Floor Visitors’ Elevator Lobby; Elloree Garden Club, Third Floor Visitors’ Elevator Lobby; Verdant Garden Club, Fourth Floor Visitors’ Elevator Lobby; Dogwood Club-St. Matthews, Annex Building Lobby; and Wisteria Garden Club, holiday arrangement in the Medical Staff Library.
