Felder Chapel Holiness Church of Elloree recently sponsored its fifth “Cancer Walk” to garner funds to fight cancer. The five-mile walk started and ended at Elloree’s Joe Miller Park.

The special event resulted in a check presentation to the Regional Medical Center Foundation for $2,500 in support of the Mabry Center for Cancer Care at the Regional Medical Center.

“We thank Pastor Mary Mood, RMC’s Birdie Ravenell, Felder Chapel Church and their community, and all who participated in the walk for their generosity and compassion for those who are facing cancer,” noted RMC Foundation Executive Director Mac Burton. “This year’s gift, coupled with Felder Chapel’s four previous contributions, has provided a total of $7,700 toward the Mabry Center’s fight against cancer.”

“We appreciate the wonderful support of our community in our efforts to fight cancer,” said Pastor Mood.
