|RMC Food, Fun and Fitness Camp for Children

RMC is offering a free camp for children 8-11 years of age on May 31 – June 2, from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The goal of the program is to educate children and parents on the importance of balancing nutrition and exercise and to promote healthy lifestyles for children.
Registered dietitians will teach children the importance of eating healthy and how to prepare fun, healthy snacks and meals. A pediatrician will meet with the children and discuss healthy lifestyle habits.
The camp includes a trip to the local YMCA, where the children will learn exercises to promote fitness. In health promotion sessions with a certified pediatric nurse, children will learn the importance of self-care behaviors and healthy lifestyles.
Classes will be held in the RMC Annex Building. Registration is required by May 26; space is limited.
