| Betty Barber Currently Serving as President of the Association for Healthcare Administrative Professionals

Betty K. Barber, Executive Assistant to the President & CEO at the Regional Medical Center of Orangeburg & Calhoun Counties (RMC), was recently installed as the 2009-2010 President of the Association for Healthcare Administrative Professionals (AHCAP).
The only national organization dedicated to those who support the nation’s top healthcare leaders, AHCAP is a non-profit healthcare organization for executive assistants, administrative assistants and other professionals reporting to healthcare management. It has more than 600 members and is the largest professional membership organization committed exclusively to healthcare executive assistants.
Barber has served in the role of executive assistant at the Regional Medical Center for 28 years. She also serves as secretary to RMC’s Board of Trustees.
AHCAP provides leadership opportunities through work on various committees and groups. During Barber’s tenure with AHCAP, she has served on numerous committees, including, Membership, Scholarship, Conference Planning and Nominating.
Barber received AHCAP's 2006 Award of Distinction and was elected to the Board of Directors in 2007.
