Over the course of our lives, every once in awhile, something comes along that gives each of us a chance to do something significant -- something that will change lives, affect families and impact people for generations to come.
You have that opportunity right now in the battle against cancer. For each generation, the American Cancer Society conducts a Cancer Prevention Study (CPS). To save more lives, CPS studies follow a generation so researchers can use the information and apply what they learn to the next generation. The American Cancer Society, through community support, is the only organization that takes on this type of nationwide study, which they have been doing since the 1950s.
For the Midlands/Orangeburg area, ACS enrollment for the Cancer Prevention Study 3 (CPS-3) is scheduled for Wednesday, March 13 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Orangeburg YMCA (2550 St. Matthews Road, Orangeburg, SC).
